Finally, LED practically dead

This is, most likely, the last post I'll make on the LED's progress.

The LED has been reduced to a tiny pinprick of light, even after bypassing the resistor.

So that's the end of that particular experiment.

Who would have thought that that light would have shone continuously for nearly nine months?

Some proper posts on their way shortly, promise.

    I'm sure that battery is nowhere near dead, it just doesn't generate enough voltage to drive the LED any more. Wire up one of these boost converter circuits and you will be in business for another year.

    I'm sure.

    I've had one or two people complaining that this is getting a bit monotonous already.

    Can you imagine the feedback if this goes on for another six months?

    It would be nice to have it lit for an entire year though...

    No promises one way or the other!
