Sixth anniversary

Today marks six years I've now had Lady Jane.

Six years of work, learning, friendship and boat related fun!

I've still not changed my opinion on owning Lady Jane - Knowing what I now know, I would never have bought her, but I have no regrets about doing so.

The best part is sitting on deck with friends, in the sun, after a good days work.

That warm glow of satisfaction of a job well done, and no more effort than hoisting a beer is required for the rest of the evening.

  2. Well you have certainly come a long way in 6 years. What was your original goal/plan when you bought her? Where you planning to live aboard or take her around the world? Congratulations on sticking with the renos, she is looking better all the time.

Hi Tim - I see you're back on your Itchen mooring! I was the small gaff yawl that came upriver past your port side with just my (red) mainsail up this afternoon. Hope you had as pleasant a day as we did :-)

Thanks - I'd certainly be keen to say hello and have a look round. Probably only when I'm out on my own though; I'm not sure my friends would be as interested, not having followed the grand project via the Web.

I get the impression you're not living aboard full time, so mostly only about at weekends?

    Cheers,

    Pete

  12. Had to laugh at the "Knowing what I know now" comment. I'm coming on 4 years of KJ and I understand, for different reasons, exactly that of which you speak. Congrats, Tim. She's lovelier every day.
