Shiny red deck

Shiny foredeckWork on the foredeck, ready for the windlass being moved back has started.

The shiny red primer you see is the first coat of primer, in preparation for that all important non-skid paint.

I've plenty of the Hemple non-skid paint on order, grey this time, as it was such a success on the back deck.

This particular job is well overdue, as when that deck got wet it could be pretty treacherous.

  1. I like the red, very sexy, too bad you can't leave it that colour, grey is so overdone on boats :)

Looks beautiful. Starting to make the mast, boom and braces look a bit tatty.

Now there's a paining project, swinging from a bosun's chair 10 metres up above the deck.

The red is a little overpowering..

  4. Hi Anonymous

I'll start on the mast, boom and braces when I can get my head around how I'm going to get myself up there to work safely.

    Cheers

  5. Too late Dennis

The new paint was delivered yesterday.

Also, with the two pack epoxy I use, it goes chalky after some time in the ultra-violet light.

    Regards
